Fully Sublimated
Fully sublimated items are decorated in their entirety prior to being sewn together. The art is infused into the polyester fabric and then cut into patterns and sewn into your final garments. One main advantage of fully sublimated items is the ability to apply the design over 100% of the garment. Whereas processes such as embroidery and screen print are size, color and location based.
Screen Print
Screen printing is the process of transferring a stenciled design onto a flat surface using a mesh screen, ink and a squeegee. Fabric and paper are the most commonly screen-printed surfaces, but with specialized inks it's also possible to print onto wood, metal, plastic, and even glass.
Embroidery
The embroidery process begins with an idea or a piece of artwork. That artwork then has to be “digitized” which is the specialized process of converting two dimensional artwork into stitches or thread. The digitizing computer software will allow numerous machines to embroider (stitch) the logo/design repetitively onto the various garments.
Spot Sublimation
Spot sublimation is a process that allows for vibrant, full color, location prints on pre-made garments. Spot sub art is directly infused into the fabric, they become a part of the fabric itself. All of the design elements including logos, colors, and numbers become a part of the fabric in sublimation as opposed to other processes like embroidery, where they’re “sewn” onto the surface.
